Konceptni Citroen C Cactus, predstavljen 2007. u Frankfurtu, mogao bi, čini se, u serijsku proizvodnju, javljaju hrvatski mediji.
Još kada je predstavljen, izazvao je oduševljenje i odobravanje javnosti, ali Citroenu to tada nije bio dovoljan znak. Dvije godine kasnije, u jeku recesije, mali gradski automobili su sve češći izbor kupaca.
Konceptni model bio je pokretan kompanijinim 1.4 HDi dizelašem sa 68 ks koji mu omogućava prosječnu potrošnju od 3,5 litara i CO2 emisiju od svega 78 g/km. Time su svi ''recesijski uvjeti'' ispunjeni, pitanje proizvodnje je pokrenuto, a uskoro se očekuje i konačna odluka Citroenovih čelnika.
