Mercedes je gurnuo u zaborav CLK i medijima predstavio njegovog nasljednika, koji će nositi oznaku E-klasa Coupe. Dakle, radi se o velikom sportašu s trojim vratima, koji će se na tržištu direktno boriti s Audijem A5, javljaju hrvatski mediji.
Novi veliki Mercedesov adut porijeklo vuče iz nove E-klase, što se vidi po gotovo istovjetnom prednjem i stražnjem kraju (s LED svjetlima), pri čemu je trokraka zvijezda smještena u prednjoj masci, a ne na nosu.
Ovaj Coupe je iznimno elegantnih linija, čemu pridonose i vrata s prozorima bez C-nosača te opcijski stakleni krov. Mercedes E-klase Coupe će pokretati pet motora, dva dizelska - E 250 CDI BlueEfficiency (204 KS) i E 350 CDI BlueEfficiency (231 KS), te tri benzinska - E 250 CGI BlueEfficiency (184 KS), E 350 CGI BlueEfficiency (292 KS) i E 500 (388 KS). U prodaji će se naći već u lipnju, a kabriolet do kraja ove godine.
